Rousing About

St. Dennis cathedral.. where most of the French royalty is buried.
 The Moulin Rouge!
The Sacre Coeur on a sunny day. People gather here to see the whole city.
 Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite yeeee
Some street art in the 5th arrondissement.

Wandering around the city with no plan is one of my favorite things to do in Paris. These are some shots of some of my favorite places and some street art I stumbled across one random afternoon rousing about.

Centre Pompidou

Some of my favorites from the George Pompidou Museum of Modern Art. The first few photos are from an exhibit about women's art, it was so awesome and I was dying to go back but it closed a few days after we discovered it. I am loving the museums in Paris. It can get so gray here sometimes and an afternoon of art is the perfect way to pass the time.

This and That

Ah Paris.. drink it in, it always goes down smooth.
Bill's words of wisdom.
Paris football match for Leslie's birthday.
Oh la la my first taste of escargot!
Words to live by...
Eiffel up there.
^ link to an awesome video of some shots of Paris, check it out.

These are some random shots I've taken over the past few weeks. It turns out your friend is a lazy blogger but here's a little bit of this and a little bit of that from my day to day. I got to sleep in today for the first time in weeks. It's my favorite feeling to hear my alarm, look at it and then turn it off and sleep until I wake up. There is so much to do and see in Paris that I always feel guilty wasting a day away, but I definitely needed a little rest after this weekend. I had a visit from a few friends from Barcelona and it was an unforgettable weekend to say the least.. never a dull moment.

Versailles Via Blackberry

Louis XIV the Sun King.
The chapel.
View of the grounds from the window of the palace.
I love ceiling.
Hall of Mirrors.
King's quarters.
Marie Antoinette's bedroom.
Versailles pop-up book! Just for you ma!
I went to Versailles a few weeks ago and it was a bit of a disappointment.. The castle itself was unreal, but my camera died after approximately 4 pictures so I had to capture it with my blackberry. That plus the fact that it was too cold to stay on the grounds for longer than 10 minutes made me decide that round 2 would be necessary. Fortunately lunch at PastaPapa in the 5th made me the happiest kid alive, so no harm no foul. I'll be back Versailles..

"Hello, this is me"

Translation: I love nothing, I'm Parisien.

Digging this song, the music video is also very entertaining.

Pretty unproductive day today. Spent mainly in class, drinking orange juice and quoting Marcel the shell. I made some tentative travel plans but nothing is booked yet.. Amsterdam, Milan, Florence, Pisa, Siena, Cinque Terre, Rome, Greece, and London are in the works. Not too shabby at all.
